DIY Hair Mask
Hello Everyone, long time no see!
I just want you guys to know, I have been making more videos on my YouTube Channel, Halesannexo for you all and I have been posting them here on my blog as well. I hope you guys check it out! Love you all and see you soon!
My New Hair + Products I Use!
So hey guys!
Yes I am back for good, this whole gluten thing will not bring me down!
Recently I have changed my hair as seen in these photos here:
So my cut now is a cascading curl where it used to be a V cut. This style makes my hair look incredibly long with a tone of curls because I have naturally curly hair.
Lately I have been using the Mane and Tail Shampoo and Conditioner in the shower and guys, this stuff is amazing. In less than two months my hair grew an inch! I really recommend the shampoo and conditioner if you want long and voluminous hair. I found mine at Target but you can also find it at Walgreens or CVS, I found mine on the bottom shelf, ask for help if you can't find it. Sometimes its hiding or even in the pet department because it is also used on horses manes and tails.
Also, I have been using Garniers leave in conditioner after i get out of the shower. To apply, I lather it on my hair than massage it into my hair all over including my scalp. Than I take a wide toothed comb to get the tangles out of my hair.
After I apply the leave in conditioner, I put a towel wrap in my hair for a couple minutes and then let my hair dry. Honestly, to keep your hair from split ends and dying, I really recommend air drying your hair or even sitting in front of a fan while you do your makeup, its way better than blow drying your hair on a hot heat.
At night, I put my hair in a huge bun so in the morning I wake up with big curls.
I use a light hairspray from Herbal Essences to tame the curls and get the frizzes out in the morning
And that's it! Literally so fast and easy. Every now and then I use heat products but I really don't like to use them because I feel like my hair is damaged and my hair smells a bit off when I do.
I hope you guys got some good information about some of these products. What type of products do you use and What is your go to hairstyle?
Thanks for reading and I will be back soon with a new post!
Love you guys!

Being a Celiac + My Tips
Hey loves!
Lately I've been feeling ill again and its due to anciently getting gluten in me...again.
Sometimes, it feel as if it is nearly impossible to go out with my boyfriend and eat gluten free.
My symptoms started at the young age of 3, for some reason I wouldn't go to the bathroom. My parents honestly thought I was just holding it in or not wanting to do as they asked. ( I know this is TMI if you are squeamish I don't recommend continuing) So my doctor gave them these things that they would have to inject, yes inject, up my butt to make me go to the bathroom. I only remember them hold me down or after the incident sitting in the corner, glaring at them, because deep down I knew it wasn't my fault.
As I grew older, I could go to the bathroom but it was almost as if I never had to go and if I did, it was right away. On family trips my mom would ask if I had to go to the bathroom and almost always the answer was no. This was a red flag for my mom, she knew something was up but kept it to herself.
In Elementary school and Middle School, I seemed to always have headaches on the way home from school. We went to the doctor about it but he resorted it to the bus fumes were giving me a headache. I always remembered I would have a snack to try and tame the headache but sugar was the only way to calm it down enough. During middle school I lost about 20-25 pounds, which I blamed on being more active.
Two days before my first day of high school I went to bed, feeling very off and dizzy. I never fell asleep and resorted to my parents room where my mom was the only one there because my dad was at work. She put a towel on my head but nothing would help. At the time I didn't know it but this would be my first of many Anxiety/ Panic Attacks. My heart rate was so up and there was so much pain in my stomach that my mom called 911 where medical help came. They took my heart rate which was very high and decided to take me to the hospital.
When I got there, I don't remember much. I remember being wheeled out of the ambulance into the hospital, having many people looking at me. They checked my blood, nothing. They checked my urine, nothing. I was in so much pain that they gave me an x-ray, nothing.
They gave me this weird chalky medicine and a few pills and an hour later the pain was gone and they sent me home.
The next day I felt sick still, I woke up and had some toast then went back upstairs to nap. I came back down later to eat lunch, my dad made sure to make me chicken and rice, I looked at the food took one bite and I had the feeling I was going to throw up, so dad drove me back to the hospital. Again, this was another panic attack.
I need to mention when I was younger, I had gotten very sick from a terrible flu. I was throwing up every where and since then, I had a terrible fear of getting sick.
When I got to the hospital again, the same nurse greeted me and they took me in for a ultra sound. The lady who was going to do this gave me two bags of water and then wheeled me in.
I do not lie when I say I was a ten on the pain scale when she was trying to examine me. She pushed down on my abdomen so forcefully (mind she had to be about 200 pounds) that the pain was worse and worse. They found no sign of any ovarian cysts and wheeled me out.
After that experience, they let me relax for about an hour than came back telling me I had to eat something. They brought me jello and a red Popsicle, this subsided most of the pain, they then sent me home.
The next day, my first day of freshman year, I was completely fine, until around the middle of the year where I had constant panic attacks. The panic attacks went away around that summer, but the headaches did not. I remember one time I was at my (ex) boyfriends house and I had the worst migraine of all time that I stayed there and had my mom come get me, to where I found out she did not believe I was in any pain at all.
It felt as if no one believed me I was in any pain at all and that I was making it all up. I felt so alone that I shut many people out.
After me and my ex boyfriend broke up, I was somewhat okay again. I didn't have migraines but I did get panic attacks. I remember being in the car one time where I was completely freaking out after I had eaten a hamburger. I was telling my mom that I was going to be sick and I was almost in tears to the point that my mom pulled over and had to calm me down.
It was around this time I met someone new to my life where I felt safe. My current boyfriend, Adam was amazing, I felt like I could talk to him about anything. Although I did loose friends because they didn't approve or whatever the reason, I didn't have anymore panic attacks.
That is until the middle of my senior year when I had a horrible migraine and panic attack combination during class, the first of many. there were probably a total of 30 times where I went home succumbed to a migraine that didn't go away until I slept.
I missed out on many happy things such as new years and black Friday because of my symptoms.
It was one Sunday after church with my boyfriend where I figured out what was wrong. I had eaten a lot of carbs because we were at his grandmas house where she had made a huge feast of food. Instantly after I ate, I couldn't be around anyone. I was put into a dark room where I couldn't socialize because of the pain of my headache. As I rested, Adam searched the Internet.
He found gluten was a huge source for constant migraines. At first, I joked oh it can't be that but then I realized, every time I felt sick, gluten was a factor.
From that point on, I became gluten free. Ever since, the only time I have stomach issues is if I experience cross contamination. I haven't had a migraine in about a year.
Gluten was a factor all my life I just didn't take time to my symptoms to figure out was wrong with me till it got really bad.
If you are having symptoms such as:
Migraines
Stomach pains
Weight loss
Weight gain
Skin being red or puffy
etc.
Please seek help. Search Google for your symptoms if you think gluten may be a factor.
Normally I would say seek a doctor but, many doctors don't understand what gluten even is.
I have been gluten free for 2 years now and I can say yes,it has been a challenge but I stay gluten free to keep myself happy.
Please if you have any questions regarding Celiac or Gluten, please comment below.
I am not a doctor, these are just my experiences.
Thanks guys for reading and I hope you enjoyed my story.
Love you!

My Weight Loss Journey + My Tips!
Hello my loves, guess what,
ITS SUMMER!!'
Now is the time i can finally have time to post about life!
I missed this blog so much and I am really glad I now have the free time to get back into blogging.
As well as blogging, my goal this summer is to loose weight. I know I know, Everyone says this.
But lately I have been eating healthier, aware of what I am eating and whats in my food.
So here I am at the Beginning of summer...guys, I can't believe I am going to tell you my weight but, I am 155 Lbs...honestly I feel I don't look that big at all, maybe it's just my body type, my goal is to be around 125-130 by the end of summer. Here is my beginning picture.
Honestly I have the shape to loose weight. I have done it before. I was this weight when I was really young than lost it all, but because I got lazy with my diet, I gained it back.
So what am I doing you ask?
Here are my tips about what to do to loose weight this summer.
1. Eat good carbs such as brown rice pasta or whole wheat breads. Personally, I am gluten free so this eliminates bad carbs as it is. Brown rice pasta is my secret to eating regular pasta. One cup of gluten free brown rice pasta is 200 Calories. Add a little Marinara sauce and a tsp of butter and you have a 270-280 calorie dinner.
2. Drink Water. If you don't drink water your body won;t be rid of the toxins and food left over in the body. You may have heard that 8 cups of water a day is the right amount. I do this by drinking water when I wake up, during breakfast, before lunch, during lunch, during dinner, after dinner, and during snacks throughout the day.
3. Give up the crazy soda and diet drinks. If you are really craving juice or soda, get fizzy water and some fruits and let it sit for 10 to 30 minutes. Also, Bolthouse farms has the best smoothie drinks in my opinion but I also drink it as a meal because it is a smoothie.
4. Don't be a cardio bunny. Yes, cardio helps you burn fat but you will not loose the weight without using weights or doing a different type of exercise. It helps burn fat longer if you use weights, even if you start out with a five, you will continue to burn fat.
5. Try taking a exercise class. Recently, I started taking a pilates class. It has taught me how to be more flexible and breathe properly while working out. Most gyms offer classes.
6. Eat carbs on your off days. I recommend eating the most carbs on your off days from the gym. Your muscles contain a certain type of carbohydrates and on your off days, you are building up strength in the muscle and resting what you have created. Adding carbs back into the muscle helps it recover faster.
7. Don't be afraid to do weights at the gym. I know the buff guys are scary and they are so intimating, trust me ive been there before. But if you never try, you will never succeed.
8. Exercise at least 3 days during the week, but don't workout every single day.
If you have any tips as well please comment down below!
I will be posting frequently with updates and maybe some new recipes!
I love you guys.

April Favorites 2014
Hello loves.
I apologize for my recent absence. I am finishing up classes for the year and have been very stressed out. Lately, I have taken up drawing again. It relaxes me and calms my stress down.
Also, Yesterday I had prom. It was amazing and I pretty much danced all night long! It was completely worth everything I had gone threw this week. ( I was sick last Friday and am still recovering.) Here are a few edited pictures I came up with from last night.

Also, Yesterday I had prom. It was amazing and I pretty much danced all night long! It was completely worth everything I had gone threw this week. ( I was sick last Friday and am still recovering.) Here are a few edited pictures I came up with from last night.
I had the best time with my group but now I have some business to attend to, April favorites!
So you guys know I love my makeup. For prom this year, I did both my own makeup and hair. Of course as you guys know, I am incredibly pale, and as seen in my prom photos, I actually look tan. This is all thanks to a product i have discovered, The L'Oreal Sublime Tinted Self Tanning lotion.
Now, as you might read reviews on this product they are not the greatest. Honestly, I believe it is because of the glitter in the product. My routine consists of Taking a shower in which I have shaved legs from the day before, I then exfoliate with doves pomegranate lemon verbena body wash with a loofah. Once I get out, I moisturize with baby Vaseline and then I apply this self tanner in circular motions with gloves on, the gloves are very critical. Whatever is left on the gloves when you are done, you lather the tops of your hands very well. The next day, be sure to shower so the glitter will come off. If you want a more in depth review of this item, I recommend following this link to a video I followed on how to use this product.
So this month I really don't have any makeup favorites. I've been going very light on makeup lately since ive been having less and less time to get ready in the morning, due to little sleep at night. Although, a time saver of mine lately has been my real techniques stippling brush. Along with my Tarte Foundation, the product has been a lot faster to apply to my face and it looks a lot more natural than a foundation brush.
For my skin this month, I have been using bath and body works body butter to keep my skin from peeling. Lately I've noticed a vast improvement in the smoothness of my skin.
This month I went to Seattle with my band class and I've realized I have a few more food favorites.
Since Seattle is known for their coffee, there was more than enough Starbucks to go to. Although, I don't get coffee at Starbucks often because it raises my anxiety, I have really been enjoying their Iced Green Tea with Lemonade. It has a minty flavor with an added twist of tang, and since I only get half the sweetener its only about 45 calories for a venti, and without sweetener or lemonade its 0 calories an still tastes really good. This drink is defiantly going to be a summer favorite of mine.
Another food favorite of mine this month has been Brookside Acai Dark Chocolates. Its defiantly a healthier alternative to a candy bar and they are extremely addicting. I brought them on my trip to Seattle and me and a friend ate them all up.
A person favorite this month has defiantly been anneorshine. Not only because she tweeted me back about a painting I did, but because she is a truly kind person who loves the support o her fans. She was my inspiration for writing this blog. I love you Anne!
Lastly I have two app favorites for April. The first is PicsArt. You can add overlays and adjust the lighting to the photos on your phone. The third prom photo I posted above, used an overlay I added onto my picture from this app. The next app is VSCO Cam which has the best filters for pictures in my opinion and it is thankfully available for android which Afterlight is not, but will be soon. If you want to know how to do filters and overlays like I do, please let me know!
Guys. Again I apologize for my absences, I really hope you understand. I am working on a new video for you guys that has to do with food an I hope it will be up sometime this month. If you haven't yet subscribed to my YouTube channel, it is halesannexo.
I love you guys and honesty thank you all for following this blog, I'm very proud at how far I've gotten with it in such a little bit of time.
I will post very very soon!
Love you,
Halesanne
Prom 2014: Things You Need to Know About Prom
Hello my lovelies...Seriously, I am on a schedule now.
I just finished one of my high school classes up so I will be a little more free to write blog posts for you guys. Also, I will be in Seattle for three days next week for a band festival, so if you guys want to see a post or a video on Whats in My Travel Bag, please let me know! I will be posting pictures up on my instagram so if you want to see those, my link is on the right of this post.
So now onto the post!
So I went to prom last year with my boyfriend who was a senior and I learned a lot of things I didn't know about prom.
So while I prepare myself for prom 2014, as well as you guys, here are a few things I learned from my experience at prom last year.
1. Prom Is And Is Not What You Have Heard About.
I am going to be honest with you guys, YES, People do things that are illegal at prom. People do bring alcohol, people do get in fights, there is drama. But, people do not smoke pot, or have sex in the bathroom or any crazy things. Most of the time, there are adults supervising bathrooms and you normally can't leave prom and come back. If you see something that shouldn't be happening, you can ether ignore it or tell a teacher depending on what the situation is.
2. Girls, it is Stressful, Allow Yourself Time To Plan.
Girls if you are going out to dinner or taking pictures before prom, make sure you plan around a schedule that allows EXTRA time. Schedules never work out the way they should so make sure you allow yourself time to be able to do what you need to. Also, try out your makeup before your magical night. What if it doesn't work out? This will save you the extra stress.
3. If You Can, Get Reservations.
This one is pretty self explanatory but if you don't have reservations, you may risk getting to prom too late or even missing your own prom.
4. Try On Your Dress The Day Before Prom.
I only say this because things can happen to your dress that you didn't notice before, like a small tear or your bra doesn't fit or shows. Make sure it is perfect before you leave.
5. There Will Be Snacks, But Be Prepared If You Have Allergies.
Last year, a girl at my prom had severe allergies and had gotten sick, ruining her prom. If you have allergies like I do, ether make sure you get enough to eat at dinner or pack a granola bar in your clutch or even put it in your dates pocket. My Favorite is the Toasted Coconut Kind bars.
6.Bring Extra Shoes.
Girl, I know you love your 6 inch heels but, you will be tired of them about an hour into prom. I recommend bringing flats because when your out on the dance floor, you don't want someone stepping on your bare feet. Ouch!
7. If you are getting your hair and makeup done, make an appointment.
If your prom is on a Saturday night, be prepared to see more than just you getting ready for prom. If you make an appointment, than you will be at smaller risk for not getting your hair and makeup done.
I hope these tips have helped you! If you have any tips please leave them below!
Love you all.

Francesca's Collection Review
Hello my loves.
I first want to let you guys know that I haven't been doing very well. On Wednesday I went out to dinner with my parents at Red Robin and I got some cross contamination from their fries. I want to assure you, I'm not hating on Red Robin at all the waitress just didn't realize until after I ordered my food that I had Celiac Disease, so it was an accident. I am home today, not feeling well still so I decided to write a post.
Yesterday, despite feeling nauseous, I went to the mall with my mother to get some spanx for my prom dress and to alter the dress as well, and yes, I will be having a prom series soon!
We were just walking back to Macy's when I spotted a store that I personally have never gone into but always wanted to go into.
The store was Francesca's.
Guys my honest opinion just walking in the store, I am in love.
The clothing was priced very fairly for the amazing quality and if you have a student ID card, you get 10% off of your purchase.
I bought a lovely pair of earrings, which I also posted on my Instagram, and a ADORABLE white infinity scarf with a gold bow pattern, which you can kind of see behind the earrings.
I literally just want to buy all of their clothes and I will defiantly be coming back. The style is mostly from Boho to Wild and Free type clothing and different sizes are available. The woman in the store were very kind and started a conversation with me, honestly more stores should do this. It drew me into the store even more.
Francesca's also sells various home good items and gifts that were very similar to the store Fuego but were more girly and unique. The store almost reminds me of a better price Anthropology.
The accessories were to die for. Ranging from bold statement necklaces to studded earrings. They also had a clearance section, which is were I found my earrings, that had a whole rack of items, ranging from around $2.99 to $10.00. Most items in the store are usually on sale.
All in all I will for sure be returning to Francesca's. It is the first little boutique that caught my eye from nice people and really amazing quality clothing.
You can go onto their online store and but clothing as well.
http://www.francescas.com/
I completely recommend this store to all of you.
I hope to post on Sunday, let me know what you want to hear about!
Love you all.

Wednesday Update!
Well hello everyone!

Sorry this is so short I'm actually sending this from my phone.
I will be posting tomorrow for sure. It will be a late in the day post but I promise you guys I'm not leaving!
Love you all,

How To Get and Stay Organized!
Hello my loves!
Recently I went to my closest Office Depot and found a Planner on sale for only $2.00! It inspired me to write a post on how to stay organized. I am not someone who is organized for any matter but recently I have been trying to clean up my life little by little.
1.Keep a Planner/Journal
As I said, recently I bought a planner, mostly for my blog. I have so many other things on my mind such as what homework is due for my math class, when I have a band concert, and when I don;t have culinary school, as you can see it gets all jumbled up. I highly recommend buying a colorful planner because when ever i see it it makes me happy, and to stay organized you can't be lazy. It's like working out, if you don't work out and eat right, your body won't function right and you won't be motivated. I keep a planner to schedule and write down ideas for my blog but a planner can be used for much more such as School, Home, Sports, Activities etc.
2. Don't just write a big list
Writing a big list might seem fast and easy at first, but sometimes you forget things thinking you have already done it. Write down what you need to do on colorful sticky notes so you never forget anything!
3. Buy Your Favorite Color of Home Decor
When ever I walk into a room with bright or even calming colors, I personally feel more organized. It makes the room feel put together even if it truly isn't. Go to Ikea or Home Goods stores and get inspired!
4. Keep Bins for Miscellaneous Work
Even if you are organized, there will always be those papers that never fit anywhere. Buy bins at target that you can label to know what is sort of in the bins.
5. Don't Put to Much Stress on Yourself
Right now, you are probably saying that this is impossible, honestly it's really not. I understand though, I go to 3 different schools, and i write my own blog and I'm only 17. To de-stress have nights where you don't focus on your work and you relax. I take at least one to two nights off from my blog or I do them ahead of time so I have more time on my hands, another reason why a planner is such a good idea to plan ahead You need to calm down and just relax. If your un-organized, check this part of your life, it might be what is causing you un-organization . Like my chef says, Plan your work and work your plan.
